This plaque came from Kamigamo Jinja a shrine in the north of Kyoto. \u003cbr\u003eThe image depicts the festival's Heian-style court procession which happens on the 15th of May and is one of Kyoto's 3 great festivals. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe Second plaque depicts the Gion Matsuri, the Gion Festival in Kyotos Historical quarter. This plaque came from Yasaka Jinja, a famous shrine in Gion popular with visitors to Kyoto and the shrine the Gion Matsuri is associated with.
