Nice little Japanese finger jointed box made from hinoki cypress and lacquered.
These boxes are actually like measuring cups and used to measure rice. This size is called a gogomasu. This was before the metric system was widely adopted in Japan.
These days you can use them for whatever you like, Stationary, decorative objects, storage.
On each side of the box there are Japanese Kanji Brands likely denoting the maker, the owner and the size.
Meiji Period, Early 20th Century.
Measures 14cm square by 7.5cm high.
Interior dimensions are 12cm square by 6cm deep.

Standard Post takes 3-8 days to arrive to Australian destinations.
Express Post takes 1-2 days, unless there are delays due to peak postal times (ie Christmas).

Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number so you can check the AusPost website for arrival details.
