Small Wabi sabi Antique Japanese Black Lacquer two drawer box called a ko-bako.
Used to store small items, jewelry, money, tools etc. I have seen these used to contain incense and candles on shrines.
This one is very small which adds to its charm. Could be a lovely little artists box or it does fit short stick incense.
Made from Sugi wood with a beautifully worn black lacquer finish. Featuring tiny brass circular handles.
From Northern Japan.
Measures 13cm deep x 7.5cm wide x 10cm high.
The internal measurements of the drawers are:
Top drawer - 5cm wide x 11cm long x 2.5cm tall
Bottom drawer - 5cm wide x 11cm long x 4cm tall

Express Post takes 1-2 days, unless there are delays due to peak postal times (ie Christmas).
