A stunning cut crystal sake cup we found by award winning glass artist Osamu Hashimoto. 

Hashimoto hails from Nagasaki, the birthplace of glass ware in Japan since the 16th century when Portuguese sailors brought with them glass pieces from Europe. 

The inscription on the inside of the box gives a nod to this heritage, by referring to this technique as "giyaman chōkoku garasu". Giyaman is the old edo period word for cut or decorated glass. 

The glass itself features a stunning hand cut design of a pine tree in the foreground with a mountain and pines behind. 

Complete in original box with some supporting paperwork about the artist.

We dispatch all orders within 2 business days via Australia Post. For extra large items, we may use a courier and will communicate with you about the options.

Standard shipping costs (Australia):

  • $100-$150 order: $19
  • $150+ order: FREE SHIPPING

Standard Post takes 3-8 days to arrive to Australian destinations.

Express Post takes 1-2 days, unless there are delays due to peak postal times (ie Christmas).

You will be notified of any delays from our end (prior to shipping) as soon as possible.

Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number so you can check the AusPost website for arrival details.
