Made only for the Sensoji Temple in Tokyo by Nippon Kodo who have been making incense since 1575!
Sensoji temple in Tokyo is famous for a few things, it is the oldest temple in Tokyo, established in the 7th century.
It is also famous for its huge Jokoro (incense burner) that sits in front of the main temple.
Millions of visitors every year come to the temple to bath themselves in the incense smoke. It is believed that by covering yourself in the smoke, you can heal affected areas.
If you are ever in Tokyo, next time its worth a visit! For now though, you can create your own ritual at home, or just enjoy the beautiful sandalwood fragrance of the Semui-ko Incense.
Usually only available to purchase at the temple itself, we brought home several boxes to share!
Long sticks last around 30mins, approx 120 in each box.
(I only learnt after purchasing that this incense is now made in Vietnam, something about easier access to the raw materials which are now scarce in Japan)

Shipping
We dispatch all orders within 2 business days via Australia Post. For extra large items, we may use a courier and will communicate with you about the options.
Standard shipping costs (Australia):
- $0- $100 order: $10
- $100-$200 order: $20
- $200+ order: FREE SHIPPING
Standard Post takes 3-8 days to arrive to Australian destinations.
Express Post takes 1-2 days, unless there are delays due to peak postal times (ie Christmas).
You will be notified of any delays from our end (prior to shipping) as soon as possible.
Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number so you can check the AusPost website for arrival details.
