Medium Japanese Grinding bowl called a Suri-Bachi.
The Suribachi is glazed with a beautiful striped pattern and on the inside it has a rough texture applied to the bowl before firing. This creates the rough texture used for grinding.
Included is an Australian made hardwood pestle called a Surikogi. A wooden pestle is used so as not to wear away the rough texture of the bowl.
These small bowls are great for making a quick dukkha on your Avo toast. In Japan you often get these in tonkotsu (fried pork cutlet) restaurants where you first grind up sesame seeds before adding a tonkotsu dipping sauce to the bowl. YUM!
We have two sizes available this one is the Medium size.
Measures 12cm across and 6cm tall.

Shipping
We ship all orders within 3 business days via Australia Post. For extra large items, we may use a courier and will communicate with you about the options.
Standard Post takes 3-8 days to arrive to Australian destinations.
Express Post takes 1-2 days, unless there are delays due to peak postal times (ie Christmas).
You will be notified of any delays from our end (prior to shipping) as soon as possible.
Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number so you can check the AusPost website for arrival details.
