Made only for the Toji Temple in Kyoto by Shoyeido a company that has been making incense in Japan for 12 generations going back to the 18th Century.
The incense is called Fushin-ko after a famous 8th century Calligraphic work held in the Temple which is designated a national treasure of Japan.
The incense has a beautiful sweet sandalwood scent.
It is one of our favourites and instantly transports me back to Kyoto when I smell it!
Long sticks last around 30mins, approx 120 in each box.
Toji Temple was founded in the 8th Century and features Japan's Tallest Wooden Pagoda.
Every month there is a great fleamarket in the grounds of the temple where you can find anything from Contemporary ceramics, to antiques and fabrics. A must visit if you go to Kyoto!

We dispatch all orders within 2 business days via Australia Post. For extra large items, we may use a courier and will communicate with you about the options.
Standard shipping costs (Australia):
- $0- $100 order: $10
- $100-$200 order: $20
- $200+ order: FREE SHIPPING
Standard Post takes 3-8 days to arrive to Australian destinations.
Express Post takes 1-2 days, unless there are delays due to peak postal times (ie Christmas).
You will be notified of any delays from our end (prior to shipping) as soon as possible.
Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number so you can check the AusPost website for arrival details.
